When you would use this
A business letter is two problems, and most tools only admit to one. The first is the words — what a written warning may say, how a formal request should ask, where a notice states its effective date. The second is the paper: a letter from a firm goes out on the firm's letterhead, and the text has to respect the pad — start below its printed header, stop above its footer, and do that on every page, not just the first.
This tool does both. The starting drafts carry the structure correspondence is expected to have — a formal letter states its request, its background and its date; a written warning records facts, the expected standard and the corrective action; a notice names who is affected and from when. Brackets mark what to replace, and you remain the author of every word.
The letterhead handling is the part done wrong almost everywhere else. A pad is not a banner to paste above the text — it is the page itself, with a footer carrying the registration line and often a side rule or watermark. Here the pad is drawn as the full-page background and the letter is laid on top of it, inside the clear area. If your pad has an unusually tall header, switch the depth to deep; a minimal pad can use compact and gain the room back.
Long letters paginate the way a typist would do it: either the pad repeats on every sheet, or — the convention for formal correspondence — the full pad appears on page one and continuation sheets stay plain. Both are one click.

Questions
- Is anything I type uploaded?
- No. The letter, the letterhead and the finished PDF exist only inside your browser, on your machine. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and closing the tab removes every trace.
- Can it write the letter for me?
- It gives you a proper starting draft for each letter type — a formal request, a memo, a notice, a written warning, an appreciation — with brackets marking what to replace. You stay the author, which for most business letters is faster than arguing with a chatbot and safer for anything that matters.
- Why does the text start so far down the page?
- Because a letterhead has a printed header the text must clear — the letter is drafted on the pad, not pasted over it. If your pad's header is taller or shorter than usual, switch the header depth between standard, deep and compact.
- What letterhead file works best?
- The full A4 page as a PDF, or a PNG/JPG scan of it — not a strip cropped from the top. The pad becomes the page background, footer and all. If you don't have one, the letterhead maker on this site builds one in a minute, and this tool also produces a clean typed letter with no pad at all.
- What happens on a long letter?
- It paginates properly. Every new sheet gets the pad drawn again before the text — or, if you choose first page only, continuation sheets stay plain, which is the convention for formal correspondence.
- Which languages does it support?
- Latin-script languages — English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and the like. Characters outside that set are left out of the PDF rather than corrupted, so a fully Urdu or Arabic letter is not yet a job for this tool.
