When you would use this
This is mostly a document problem wearing a photo problem's clothes. Someone needs a set of site photographs as one attachment. An expense claim needs six receipts in one file because the finance system takes one upload. A passport, a licence and a utility bill have to go to a bank as a single document.
Page size is the choice that matters. A4 or Letter puts every image on a consistent sheet with even margins, which is what you want if a human will print, sign or file it — mixed page sizes in one PDF is the thing that makes a printer ask you to re-send. Fit each image makes every page exactly the size of its picture, which is right for a photo record where cropping or letterboxing would lose detail, and wrong for almost anything that gets printed.
Margins matter more than people think for anything bound or hole punched. The default here is half an inch, which clears most binding without eating the picture. Set it to zero for a full-bleed photo book, but expect a home printer to clip the edges — most cannot print right to the paper edge.
Images are embedded at their original resolution, so a 12-megapixel phone photo produces a large PDF. That is usually the right trade for a record you might need to zoom into later, but if it is going by email, shrink the images first rather than the PDF afterwards — compressing a PDF full of photos mostly just re-compresses what is already compressed.

- Can I mix JPG and PNG?
- Yes. Each image is embedded in its own format, which matters — a transparent PNG forced through JPEG comes out with a black background, so the file type is read rather than assumed.
- What order do the pages come out in?
- The order shown on this page, which is the order you added them. Rearrange before you convert if it matters.
- Are my photos uploaded?
- No. Everything happens in your browser. The images never leave your computer, which is worth knowing when the photos are of a passport or a signed document.
- Why is my PDF so large?
- Because the images go in at full resolution. If it needs to fit an email limit, resize the images before converting — that shrinks the result far more than compressing the PDF afterwards.
- Can I use HEIC photos from an iPhone?
- Not directly. Export or share them as JPG first — most phones will convert on export, and some do it automatically when you email them to yourself.
